Longview is a replacement dwelling located on a narrow plot just outside the village of Rayne. The site, currently occupied by a small, dilapidated bungalow, has been reimagined to make the most of its compact footprint, offering a modern and highly functional home tailored to the needs of its downsizing owners.
The design takes a contemporary approach, with a focus on creating light-filled, adaptable spaces that connect effortlessly to the garden. Generous glazing and carefully arranged openings ensure natural light flows into the interior, enhancing the sense of space and providing a strong connection between indoor and outdoor living. The layout prioritises practicality and flexibility, offering sociable spaces for entertaining alongside private areas designed for comfort and relaxation.
The external form reflects the contemporary ethos of the design, with clean lines and a material palette chosen to complement its immediate context.
