New Dwelling in a conservation area
Beech Trees is a new dwelling which sits on a sensitive site between two Grade 2 listed buildings and within a conservation area. The front of the building was designed to echo the adjacent cottage style buildings however to the rear, the designs differ to create the bedroom spaces needed. A traditional design approach is maintained throughout using high quality details and materials including timber windows and doors, handmade clay tiles, sand / cement painted render, timber weatherboard and handmade bricks.
With the client being a high end developer, EPA worked with Baker and Hurst Interior Designs to deliver the complete scheme including external landscaping and interior designs. As part of this co-ordination, EPA provided kitchen and utility design along with specialist built in joinery throughout the ground floor. Throughout the construction phase, EPA provided site supervision and assistance on site to ensure the details were executed as expected and the building was delivered to the highest standards.
